Group facilitation for Active at Home

Burnie Brae staff recently trialled a group facilitated method for staff enrolled in the Active at Home accreditation course (SISXCAI002 – Assist with activity sessions) through Onfit Training College (RTO 32107).
The session was facilitated by the Active at Home team and provided an opportunity to work through the training modules and complete some components of the assessment together. Participants enjoyed role playing with each other as ‘client’ and ‘care worker’ as they practiced the assessment and exercise program during the day. Everyone agreed it was more fun to learn as a group, have all been successful in becoming accredited, and are now ready to start working with clients who are interested in Active at Home.  Talk to the Active at Home team if you would like to know how to run a group facilitated session in your organisation.
